Wellcome Open Research will use services developed by F1000Research. Once articles pass transparent invited peer review, they’ll be indexed in major bibliographic databases, and deposited in PubMed Central and Europe PMC.
Our researchers will be able to use the platform to publish a whole range of outputs, including:
null and negative results.
Wellcome Open Research is our latest effort to improve the way research findings are disseminated, including support for the pioneering open access journal eLife.
Robert Kiley, our Head of Digital Services, explains: "One of the long-term aims of this approach is to start a shift in research and researcher assessment away from journal-based measures and towards direct assessment of the output itself, whether it be an article, or in another form such as a dataset or software tool."
We’re actively seeking early submissions for the launch of this platform in the autumn. If you’re interested, please visit Wellcome Open Research to find out more about the submission criteria, and when submissions will be accepted.
