Angela Su, artist-in-residence at the Hong Kong Museum of Medical Sciences.

Angela Su studied biochemistry before moving into the visual arts. She creates works that prompt us to contemplate our own being – our inscription in space and time.

Offering an alternative to the usual outbreak narrative, Angela seeks to interrogate the paradoxes, complexities and contradictions surrounding infectious diseases. She will take inspiration from traditional Chinese medicine, cosmology and philosophy to create a video- and performance-based work.

Her work will be shown at the Hong Kong Museum of Medical Sciences in early 2019.
