Academy of Medical Sciences

The Academy of Medical Sciences purchased new premises in London to create an independent, professional headquarters. The Academy will now be able to provide a medical science hub that will be a venue for all their activities and a permanent location for their Fellows to meet. The Trust has supported the refurbishment of the new premises.

Royal Society

Funded in 2008

Wellcome supported the renovation of the Wellcome Trust Lecture Theatre at the Royal Society in London. The work included the installation of a new stage and screen backdrop as well as improvements to the lighting and sound equipment within the room.

Wellcome supported the purchase and digitisation of the Hooke papers by the Royal Society in London.
