Humanities and Social Science team

We support and fund innovative health research across the humanities and social sciences.

At different times in history, or in different cultures and settings, people can have very different experiences of health, disease and wellbeing.

Understanding more about those experiences can improve healthcare delivery. It can also improve the way scientists conduct their research. That’s why we support and fund innovative health research.

We do this by:

A major part of our work is engaging with our research community about their ideas. Many of you will apply for support through our funding schemes.
