Statement on data breach
Information concerning a recent email data breach at Wellcome.

On Monday 13 August, we became aware that four Wellcome staff members’ email accounts had been compromised. When we became aware of this issue we reported it to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the Charity Commission and the police. We have contacted people who we believe were in correspondence with the affected accounts.
We are investigating the cause of this breach and have taken measures to ensure it does not happen again.
