Project summary

This collaboration between science and art will highlight the threads that unite the themes of evolution, development and health. The target audience is adult visitors to three London hospitals. including those living with developmental issues. The collaborations, interactions and reactions will be documented, providing a record of the creative process and a reflection of the activity’s impact. It is expected that 5,000 visitors will view the artwork, with 200 of the visitors completing evaluations and 60 targeted people taking part in interactive workshops and a resulting documentary film will be made that will reach a larger audience.

The activity aims to broaden horizons, stimulate discussion and inspire an interest in the underlying mechanisms involved in health and disease. It is expected to benefit not only the target audience but also the artists and researchers involved.
